Mrs. Mary “Evie” Barry, a long time Andover resident and beloved wife of the late Paul F. Barry passed away at Mary Immaculate Nursing Restorative Center on July 4, 2019, she was 94 years old.
Born in Andover, MA, on April 1, 1925, she was the daughter of the late William and Josephine (Wholey) Collins. Mary enjoyed travelling, playing cards with friends, and spending time with family; she will be dearly missed by family and friends.
Mary is survived by her sons Paul Barry of Orlando, FL; Christopher Barry of Chesterfield, NH; Timothy Barry and his wife Jacki of Andover, MA; Thomas Barry and his wife Lynn of Blakely, GA, sisters Patricia Kornachuk of Danvers, MA, Josephine “Dodie” Gemmell of Andover, MA, grandsons Kevin, Keith, Kenny, and Justin Barry and granddaughter Nicole Barry as well as many nieces and nephews. Mary was predeceased by her daughter Lynn Barry, daughter-in-law Linda Barry, grandson Connor Barry, siblings Arthur Collins; Juliana Collins; Justin Collins, Paul Collins, and William Collins.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Augustine Church, 43 Essex Street, Andover, MA on Friday, July 12, 2019, at 11:30 am. Interment will take place at a later date.
