Maureen (Leahy) Quinn, a lifelong resident of Charlestown, entered into eternal life suddenly on Saturday, July 6, 2019 at her home in Charlestown. She was 69 years of age.
Maureen was born in Everett on March 17, 1950, a daughter of the late William P. Leahy and Alava (Schofield) Leahy. She grew up in Charlestown where she was educated in the Boston Public School system and graduated from Charlestown High School in 1968. Maureen worked as a Billing Specialist for Partners Health Care and retired following 23 years of dedicated service. In her spare time she enjoyed playing Keeno at the Mt. Vernon Restaurant but most importantly in her life where her children and the special times she spent with them.
Maureen is the beloved wife of the late Robert C. "Bob" Quinn. She is the devoted mother of Paul Hennessey and his wife Kathleen Lacey, Sandra Hennessey and her partner Kevin O'Brien and Tina Hennessey. She is the beloved sister of William "Billy" Leahy and his wife Pippy and the late Margaret Hennessey and Patricia DiNovo. She is also survived by her many loving nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Maureen's visiting hours on Thursday, July 11, 2019 from 3 to 7 P.M. with her Funeral Service at 6:30 P.M. in The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown. Her burial is private.
