LEICESTER: Carolyn A. (MacIntosh) Harris,84, of King St., died Friday, July 5 at St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester after a brief illness.
Her husband of 64 years, Robert M. Harris, Sr., died Dec. 5, 2018. She leaves her sons Robert M. Harris, Jr. and his wife Jane and Kenneth S. Harris and his wife Sharron all of Leicester, two brothers John MacIntosh and his wife Dorothy of Leicester and James MacIntosh and his wife Carol of Cherry Valley, a sister Lillian Gay of No.Brookfield, grandchildren; Erin Stimson and her husband Adam of Cherry Valley, Ryan Harris and his wife Casey of New Mexico, and Nicholas Harris of Leicester, great grandchildren; Malin Stimson, Ava, Grace and Jacob Harris, several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her sister Frances Nockunas and brother Thomas MacIntosh, Jr.
Carolyn worked at Acme Plastics in Leicester for many years prior to her retirement. She has been most recently employed as secretary at the First Baptist Church in Oxford and the Jack & Jill Preschool.
Born in Worcester, she was the daughter of Thomas and Frances (O'Bryan) MacIntosh and later graduated from the former Ascension High School in Worcester. She was a longtime member of St. Joseph/St. Pius X Parish and was very active in the church, especially the Food Pantry.
Carolyn's funeral will be held on Tuesday, July 9 from the MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 1131 Main St., Leicester followed by a funeral mass at 11 a.m. in St. Pius X Church, 1153 Main St., Leicester. Calling hours will be held from 9 to 10:30 a.m. prior to the funeral on Tuesday in the funeral home. Burial will be at a later date.
