John L. "Jackie" Sullivan Jr., a lifelong Charlestown resident, entered into eternal life suddenly on Friday, July 5, 2019 at his home in Charlestown. He was 53 years of age.
Jackie was born in Boston on July 22, 1965, a son of the late John "Jackie" Sullivan and Eileen (Bradley) DiNicola. He grew up in Charlestown where he was educated at St. Catherine's Parochial School and graduated from Newman Preparatory High School in 1983. Jackie enlisted into the United States Marine Corps in 1983 and served his country faithfully and with honor. He was honorably discharged on January 20, 1989 with the rank of Lance Corporal. Jackie worked as a Truck Driver and also as a driver for the movie industry and was a proud 30 year member of the Teamsters Union Local # 25. He was also a devout and loyal member of The 520 Club in Charlestown.
Jackie is the beloved partner of Kelleigh Devlin. He is the loving father to Kathleen Sullivan. He is beloved son of the late John "Jackie" Sullivan and Eileen (Bradley) DiNicola and her surviving husband Rocky. He is the devoted brother of Karen Considine and her husband Pat, Michael Sullivan and his wife Lisa and Danny Sullivan and his wife Kerry. He is also survived by his many loving nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Jackie's Funeral on Wednesday, July 10, 2019 at 9 A.M. from The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown followed by his Funeral Mass in St. Francis De Sales Church, 313 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown at 10 A.M. His burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery in Malden. His visiting hours will be on Tuesday, July 9, 2019 from 4 to 8 P.M. in the funeral home.
