Joseph Onnie Brown, Jr., 90, of Fitzgerald passed away Saturday, July 6, 2019, at Tift Regional Medical Center. A private service and burial will be held for Mr. Brown at a later date.
Born March 5, 1929 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Mr. Brown was the son of the late Joseph Onnie Brown, Sr. and Francis Allen Brown. He was also preceded in death by one daughter, Sandra Joyce Robinson; and two sisters, Pauline Dinkins and Laurene Latinen. Before retiring, he was a colonel with the Florida Game and Fish Commission. He liked to fish and hunt; loved to ride motorcycles; and he was member of Irwinville Baptist Church.
Mr. Brown is survived by his wife, Bonnie Lee Brown of Fitzgerald; two sons and daughters-in-law, Joseph Michael and Betty Brown and Douglas Reed and Janet Brown, all of Fitzgerald; twelve grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and several great-great grandchildren.
