Yolanda (Renzella) DiBattista, a lifelong resident of Malden, passed away peacefully on July 3, 2019 after a brief illness. She was 96 years old.
Yolanda was a member of Saint Joseph’s Parish and a 50 year member of the Catholic daughters.
In 1941she married her sweetheart, Ernest DiBattista and the two would share the next 63 years together, raising their family. Yolanda was the sixth child (of eight) of the late Bartolomeo and Elizabeth Renzella. She was the beloved wife of the late Ernest DiBattista and the loving mother of daughters Judith Sullivan of Malden and Joan Barron of Malden, and son Frank DiBattista and his wife Eileen of Boston. Yolanda was the dear sister of Albert Renzella and his late wife Jenny, the late Mary DiGiacomo and her late husband Armando, the late Joseph Renzella and his late wife Lillian, the late Margaret DiGiacomantonio and her late husband Charles, the late Catherine Drinkwater and her late husband Fred, the late Peter Renzella and his late wife Carmela, and the late Frank Renzella and his late wife Lee. She was the proud grandmother of five grandsons, Michael Sullivan and David, Christopher Barron and his wife Melissa, Matthew DiBattista, Mark DiBattista and his wife Jenn, Adam DiBattista and Diana, and great grandmother of BriannaMarie, Samantha, Ryan and Jackson. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held from the A. J. Spadafora Funeral Home, 865 Main Street, Malden on Monday July 8th at 8:00am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph’s Church, 770 Salem Street, Malden at 9:00am. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held at the funeral home on Sunday from 3-7pm. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
