Kenneth J. Lent, 87, of Dartmouth died Monday, July 1, 2019 at Massachusetts General Hospital after a period of declining health. He was the husband of Sylvia A. (Rebello) Lent.
Born in Provincetown, son of the late Frederick and Philamena (Cabral) Lent, he had lived in Dartmouth for the past 25 years.
He was formerly employed Gaspar's Sausage Company for 51 years until his retirement.
Kenneth enjoyed amateur radio, listening to music and was an avid reader.
He is survived by his wife; three children, Kevin Lent and his wife Jane, Andrew Lent, and Bethany Feiter; four grandchildren, Kyle Lent, Jake Feiter, Ross Feiter, and Lauryn Lent; his brother, Frederick Lent and his wife Mary; and several nieces and nephews.
His funeral service will be held Thursday, July 11, 2019 at 11 AM in the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford. Burial will follow in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne. Visitation will be Wednesday, July 10, 2019 from 5-7 PM.
