Obituary

LEOMINSTER___Aldona A. (Navikas) Kupcinskas, 87, of Leominster, formerly of Worcester, died Tuesday January 10 in Leominster Hospital after a short illness. Her husband, Stanley V. Kupcinskas died in 1996.
She leaves a son, Michael S. Kupcinskas and his wife Elizabeth of Leominster with whom she lived with for the last 4 ½ years; four daughters, Marilyn A. Berg and her husband Peter and Kathleen P. Kupcinskas and her husband Kristopher Hart all of Lancaster; Diane E. Rigby and husband Gerry of Falmouth and Patricia J. Longvall of Paxton; nine grandchildren, Melanie, Jonathan, Dawn, Kelsey, Corey, Allison, Raymond, Kerry and Eric and several nephews and nieces. Her first husband, Stanley Gage died in 1946. She was also predeceased by a brother and two sisters, John and Eugenia Navikas and Mary Wentz. She was born in Worcester, daughter of George A. and Mary (Pavalonis) Navikas and lived as a young child in Lithuania with her sisters and mother while her father remained and worked in Worcester. They returned to Worcester after three years. While she was a teenager she lived in Wilkinsonville with her parents and later married and settled in Worcester.
Mrs. Kupcinskas was an office manager 20 years for the former Charron Furniture Co. She also worked as a part time bookkeeper for Campbell & Smith, Attorneys at Law. She was a graduate of Commerce High School and Salter Secretarial School. Aldona was a member of St. Casimir Church, Worcester. She was a dedicated homemaker and mother and enjoyed cooking, sewing and caring for her family. One of her favorite pastimes was watching the Red Sox. In her later years she especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all her family and friends.
The funeral will be held on Saturday January 14 from DIRSA-MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 298 Grafton St., Worcester with a Mass at 10 am in St. Casimir Church, 41 Providence St., Worcester. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester. Calling hours in the funeral home are Friday January 13 from 4 to 7 pm.
