Mary Maccarone, of Waltham, passed away peacefully at Newton-Wellesley Hospital on June 28, 2019. She was born in Medford and was the daughter of the late Joseph and Concetta (Coronella) Maccarone. For many years, Mary was a resident of the Fernald Developmental Center in Waltham before moving to a May Institute Community Residence. Mary was pre-deceased by her brothers Larry and Salvatore and sisters Connie Carlino and Camille. She is survived by her sister Frances and by her friends, housemates and staff of the May Institute, and by her advocate and guardian, Frances Silveira. Friends and family will gather for a graveside service on Wednesday, July 3rd at St. Michael Cemetery, 227 Walk Hill St., Roslindale, at 11 AM.
