Mildred A. “Millie” (Hoar) Bonifazi 98, of Franklin, died peacefully, at home with her family at her side, Friday June 28, 2019, following a long illness. She was the beloved wife of the late Anthony B. “Boni” Bonifazi.
Born August 28, 1920 in Norfolk, a daughter of the late John and Catherine (Gately) Hoar, she was a former resident of Norfolk, before moving to Franklin many years ago.
She was raised and educated in Norfolk and was a graduate of Walpole High School. Mildred worked at the former JJ Newbury’s department store in Franklin and retired from the Foxboro Company, where she was a proofreader.
She enjoyed spending time with her family. As a young woman, she enjoyed swimming, ice skating, and tennis.
Mildred is survived by her daughters, Myrna A. Pasquantonio of Franklin and Lauren F. DeBaggis and her husband Paul of Franklin, a grandson Nicholas DeBaggis and his wife Jennifer of Franklin, her cherished great grandsons, Brian, Stephen, Joseph, Eric and Nathan DeBaggis, and many nieces and nephews.
She was also the mother of her late infant son Anthony Boni, Jr. She was the sister of the late Ralph L. Hoar, Mary Hoar Levasseur, Laurence Hoar, Rosemarie Hoar and Thomas Hoar.
Mildred’s family would like to thank her caregivers including Melissa Garland, Cheryl Patterson, Samantha Spangler and Tracee Pouliot from Salmon VNA, her physical therapist June Brown, her nursing assistants Deb LeMay, Paula Barilone, and her neighbor Martha Woolverton-Vitali.
Her graveside funeral service and interment at St. Mary’s Cemetery, will be held privately.
