Margaret M. (Malonson) Cardoza, 83, of New Bedford died Friday, June 28, 2019 at The Oaks Nursing Home after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Manuel Cardoza.
Born in New Bedford, daughter of the late Arthur J. and Ruth F. (Donaghy) Malonson, she lived in New Bedford all of her life.
She was a communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Church.
Mrs. Cardoza was employed by the City of New Bedford School Department for many years until her retirement. In retirement, she was employed by Building 19 and Child World.
She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her beloved friends, Donald and Irene.
She is survived by two sons, Michael Cardoza and his wife Kerri, and Manuel Cardoza, Jr. and his wife Laurie; five grandchildren, Ryan, Steven, Megan, Casey, and Kristen Cardoza; and three great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her son, Daniel Cardoza.
Her funeral will be held Wednesday, July 3, 2019 at 9 AM from the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford, followed by her Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Fatima Church at 10 AM.
