Obituary

Martha Malcolmson Reeves was an angel on earth. She was always doing things for all of her family members and adored each one. She lost her Mom when she was only 12 years old and she took over many of the household duties of cooking, cleaning and helping her siblings. She had one sister and seven brothers. Born in Stoughton she graduated from Canton High School and Gillis Secretarial School in Stoughton. Martha studied hard in high school and was offered a full scholarship to Syracuse University but she would not leave her family-especially her only sister, Margie who was only 11 at the time. She worked in Boston and also Norwood for several different companies including Naugatuck Chemical before retiring. She married Charlie in 1962 and they were married 44 years. Charlie started his own successful Electrical Engineering Company, Atlantic Switchboards in Holbrook and Martha worked as a secretary for him. She and Charlie loved to travel and visited many countries in Europe, as well, as many Islands and Florida. They owned property in Highland Beach, Florida and, also built and designed homes in West Falmouth. Martha loved to watch The Patriots, Red Sox and Bruins. She attended many Bruins games and was also, an avid Bridge and Whist player. She loved to play Scrabble and read many books. She loved flowers and was an avid gardener. Although she had no children of her own, she became a second mother to many of her nieces and nephews and their children as well. She always had a smile on her face and had a great sense of humor.
