Dorothy Matilda Cox Brady Ring, 89, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, passed away peacefully Wednesday, June 26, 2019.
Funeral services will be held 11 AM, Saturday, June 29, 2019, at The Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Fitzgerald, with the Rev. Gary Mimbs officiating. Interment will follow in the Lax Holiness Cemetery, in Coffee County, Georgia. The family will receive friends Friday evening, from 6 PM until 8 PM, at the funeral home in Fitzgerald.
Mrs. Ring was born October 15, 1929, in Coffee County, Georgia, to the late George Washington Cox & Mary Ann Floyd Cox. She was a former CNA and sitter for the elderly. Mrs. Ring was a seamstress and she loved to quilt and crochet. She also raised and sold quail. She attended the Church of the Nazarene.
She is survived by her children and their spouses: James Aubrey Brady & Loretta of Fitzgerald, Mary Ann Garner & Jack of Fitzgerald, Martha Nell Walker & Emory of Douglas, Troy Lynn Brady of Fitzgerald and Tammy Elaine Hall & Tim of Cairo; 19 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; two siblings: Mary Katherine Foskey & Dwayne of Lizella and David Cox & Sue of Douglas. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands: Troy Leon Brady and Perry A. Ring; a daughter, Betty Ruth Snyder; two brothers, Johnny and R.J.; and two sisters, Glinnis and Ruth.
