Carolyn Lee Ingram Bassett, 76, of Ty Ty passed away Monday, June 24, 2019, at Tift Regional Medical Center. Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 29, 2019, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Rickey Wells officiating. Mrs. Bassett will be laid to rest at Oak Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday, June 28, 2019, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals
Dan Revels, Daniel Revels, Kenneth Watson, Kenneth Roy Watson, T. J. Watson and Mark Hemminger will serve as pallbearers.
Born June 3, 1943 in San Francisco, California, Mrs. Bassett was the daughter of the late Luther Jackson Ingram and Lizzie Melvina Andrews Ingram. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Tolbert Lee Bassett; one son, Arthur James Bristol; one brother, Jimmy Ray Ingram; and two sisters, Rena Mae Bryan and Eva Mae Lovett. Before retiring, she was a heat set operator at Shaw Industries in Tifton. She was of the Baptist faith.
Mrs. Bassett is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Daniel John and Rebekah Revels of Atlanta; one step-son, Joey Bassett of Lenox; one step-daughter, Tracy Wortham of Lenox; one sister, Geneva Scarborough and her husband, Jack of Ty Ty; four grandchildren, Daniel John Revels III, Derrick Allen Montgomery and his wife Danielle, Sierrah Revels and Nikolai Dimitri Revels; three step-grandchildren, Brent Bassett, Crystal Tronnes and her husband Brian and Jeremy Wortham; two great-granddaughters, Everly Starr Montgomery and Angel Tronnes; several special nieces, including Vickie McGee and Darlene Watson; and several special nephews.
