Domingos Goncalves (58) of Brockton died June 24th in the Brockton Hospital. He was the loving husband of Maria (Semedo) Goncalves.
He was born in Praia, Santiago, Cabo Verde son of the late Justiniano and Teodora (Fonseca) Goncalves. Domingo worked as a cook in the food service industry. He was a communicant of St. Edith Stein Church, enjoyed playing cards, cooking, dancing and watching soccer. He was known for his story telling and jokes.
In addition to his wife he is survived by 2 sons, Andrew Goncalves of Brockton and Justiniano Goncalves of England, 3 daughters, Carina of Rhode Island, Indira of Cape Verde and Yara Goncalves of Brockton, 2 brothers, Antonio and Alberto, 2 sisters, Maria and Filomena Goncalves all of Cape Verde.
Services from the Home of Funerarias Multi Culturel 238 Court Street Brockton Monday July 1st at 8 am. Followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Edith Stein Church 71 E Main Street Brockton at 9 am. Burial will follow in Melrose Cemetery. Visitation in the Funeral Home Sunday June 30th from 6-9 pm.
