Obituary

Madden, Raymond J. of Dorchester, January 9, 2006.

Loving son of the late John R. Madden and Mary E. (Goss). Loving brother of Eleanor of Dorchester and her late husband William Farrell, Gertrude Alteri of CT and the late Mary F. and Edward J. Madden. Uncle of Atty. William Farrell of Dorchester, Christopher, Matthew and Lee Altieri, all of CT and John Madden of NC.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., WOLLASTON, Friday at 9 AM. Funeral Mass in St. Peter's Church, Dorchester at 10 AM.

Visiting hours Thursday 4-8 PM.

Burial in Saint Mary's Cemetery, Randolph.

Mr. Madden was a gifted athlete. When he was younger he enjoyed many sports but baseball was his favorite. In later years he could converse for hours about various baseball players and their statistics. He felt fortunate to have witnessed the Boston Red Sox win the World Series in 2004. He also competed in basketball and was an accomplished billiards and chess player. Raymond retired from Payette Associates in 2001 after 18 years as a facilities manager at the Architectural firm. Prior to that he worked at A.F. Livermore Corp. in Allston. He began as a machine operator making parts for looms used in the textile industry. After 25 years he worked his way up to Vice Presdident. Mr. Maddden is a Korean War Veteran with the U.S. Army.
