Beth Waterhouse Ridgeway, 67, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Thursday, June 20, 2019, at her residence.
Memorial services will be held 2 PM, Tuesday, June 25, 2019, in the Chapel of Central United Methodist Church in Fitzgerald, with the Rev. B.J. Funk officiating. Interment will be private.
Mrs. Ridgeway was born April 22, 1952, in Macon, Georgia, to Edward Washington & Rayme Bond Waterhouse. She graduated from Fitzgerald High School in 1970 and received her Bachelors Degree in English from the University of Georgia. She continued her education by earning her Masters degree and then later earning her Specialist degree in Special Education from the Kennesaw State University. Mrs. Ridgeway was a lifelong educator and returned to the community in 2013. Family was most important to her and she was a member of Central United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Johnny Ridgeway of Fitzgerald; children: Amy Elizabeth & Blake Lyda of Lyman, South Carolina and Emily Sams Brown & Daniel Carter Brown of Tucker; grandchildren: Sams Blake Lyda and Rayme Claire Brown; two sisters: Rayme Bond “Bonnie” Israel of McDonough and Lynn Lie-Nielsen & Charles of Newnan.
