Marie (Carr) Daffe, 93 of Salem, passed away, June 14, 2019 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers, following a brief illness. She was the devoted wife of the late J. Robert Daffe.
Born in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Beatrice (Kiley) Carr. Following her marriage she and her husband devoted their time to the raising of their family and their work. She first worked for Sylvania in Danvers and then Boston and lastly in Salem. In her later year, Marie enjoyed working behind the counter at Duncan Donuts at the downtown Salem store where she made many friends. She was a member of Ste. Anne Parish in Salem.
She is survived by her daughters, Ann M. Zard and her husband Stephen, Janice Merryweather, her sons, Daniel Daffe and his wife Teddi-Jean and Richard Daffe. She also leaves fifteen grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren, as well as nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter Diane and Son Paul and sisters, Jane Gerard and Lois Carr.
