Ronald J. Shedd, of New Bedford, Passed away Sunday June 9, 2019
After a long period of declining health. He leaves his daughter, Sara Shedd and granddaughter Sariah Grace, who he absolutely adored. He was the companion of the late Nancy Costa for 25 years.
He was born in Boston and raised in South Boston before moving to New Bedford many years ago. Ron was a master carpenter and a very talented craftsman, who took great pride and enjoyed woodworking. He could fix anything and was a hard worker, who always had time, skill, and compassion to help others. He will be missed.
> Ronald was born the fifth child and youngest son to the late Robert M.Shedd and Mary C. Shedd. Ron is also survived by four sisters who he loved dearly, Cathrine Sarno of Oregon, Christine Nixon of Stow Ma, Joan O’Connell of Athol Ma and Carol Shedd of Barrington Rhode Island. As well as several nieces and nephews. His Only brother Steven J. Shedd predeased him in 2006.
A memorial mass will be held for all friends and family to attend at St. Anthony’s of Padua church 1359 Achushnet ave. New Bedford Ma 02746 at a date and time to be announced. Arrangements placed in the care of Perry Funeral Home 111 Dartmouth St. New Bedford, MA 02740.
