Raymond Jack Husfloen age 79, entered into rest on June 15, 2019 at his home in Prosser. Ray was born on February 16, 1940 to Clayton and Virginia (Bowman) Husfloen in Portland, Oregon and was raised and educated in Ontario. After high school he attended Portland Community college for 1 ½ years, 2 years at CBC Lineman School and 2 years at Treasure Valley, Ontario for Inside Wireman School. Ray and Sandra (Sandy) Barton were married on March 26, 1965 in Hood River, Oregon. In 1977 the couple moved to Prosser and Ray worked in construction under IBEW Local. He worked at Benton PUD from 1977 to 1997 and Benton REA from 1997 until retiring in 2000.
Ray enjoyed fishing, hunting, classic cars and winters in Arizona. He was a 50 year member of the Eagles and 20 year member of the VFW
Ray is survived by his wife, Sandy of Prosser; son, Richard Husfloen (Nancy) of Idaho; daughters, Melissa Jasso (Eddie) and Melinda Plumlee, both of Prosser ; sister, Diane Miller (Ray) of Ontario, Oregon; 12 grandchildren’ and 10 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Clayton (Bud) Jr. and Ronald; and son, Kurtis in
2005.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, July 6, 2019 at the Eagles Lodge in Prosser.
