Betty Ann Garrison, 71, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Tuesday, June 18, 2019, at her residence with her daughters by her side.
Funeral services will be held 2 PM, Saturday, June 22, 2019 at The Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Fitzgerald, with the Rev. Drew Richey officiating. Interment will follow in the Salem Cemetery in Ben Hill County, Georgia. The family will receive friends Friday evening, from 6 PM until 8 PM, at the funeral home in Fitzgerald.
Mrs. Garrison was born January 13, 1948, in Ben Hill County, Georgia, to the late Tommie & Lillian Garner Fowler. She lived in the community all of her life. Mrs. Garrison was a loving mother and loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved to dance, watch TV, spend time with her friends, and was the biggest fan of Elvis Presley. Mrs. Garrison will be missed by all. She was of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by her children: Felicia Handley of Fitzgerald, Teresa & Matt Turner of Pitts and Melanie & Drew Richey of Unadilla, David & Elida Garrison of Fitzgerald and Chrissy & Dewayne Hayes of Fitzgerald; 17 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and one on the way; and a brother, Ronnie & Vicki Fowler of Tifton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband David Garrison.
