Jane A. (Pasko) Hammersmith, age 78, passed away on June 12, 2019 at Mount Saint Vincent Nursing Home in Holyoke. She was born in Chicopee on June 17, 1940, a daughter of the late Walter J. and Katie (Zych) Pasko. Jane worked at Westover Air Reserve Base as a secretary in the vehicle maintenance department for many years before she retired. She was a communicant of St Stanislaus Basilica. Jane was known for being an advocate for her community. Her hobbies included crocheting, cross stitch and gardening. She is survived by her son Michael Hammersmith of Chicopee, her daughter Donna Morin of Chicopee and her brother Walter Pasko Jr of Lanesborough, MA. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, June 18, 2019 from 5:00 – 8:00 PM at the Grise` Funeral Home, 280 Springfield St, Chicopee. Burial will be private at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association of New England, 260 Cochituate Road #200, Framingham, MA 01701.
