S. Jane (Manning) McWhirk, 84, of Mansfield, died on Saturday January 7, 2006 at the Pine Knoll Nursing Center in Lexington, MA. She was the beloved wife of the late William H. McWhirk.
Born in McKees Rocks, PA, she was a loving daughter of the late Roy H. and Sarah (Neel) Manning, Sr.
She was educated in Pennsylvania schools. She was a Civil Service Worker for the United States Government in Virginia for 10 years before retiring.
She lived in Mansfield, MA for the past two years, previously living in Norton for four years, and Harwichport for over 20 years.
She is survived by two sons, Stephen McWhirk of Mansfield and Bruce McWhirk of the Boston Area, and one brother Roy H. Manning Jr. of Mashpee.
Funeral services will be private. Burial will be at a later at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne, MA.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home, 55 North Main Street, Mansfield, MA.
