Doris J. (Peak) Keller, 90, of Mendon, died Thursday, June 6, 2019 at the Milford Center Nursing Home. She was the beloved wife of Donald H. Keller for the past 2 & 1/2 years and also the late Walter B. Thornhill, Sr.
Born in Evansville, Indiana on June 11, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Chester and Mayzelle (Warren) Peak.
Mrs. Keller was a resident of Mendon for the past 2 & 1/2 years and formerly resided in Medway and Franklin.
Before retiring, she worked as a waitress at the former Betty’s Donuts in Bellingham. She was always active and busy and enjoyed volunteering.
Mrs. Keller was an avid New England sports fan and was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Bellingham where she loved the Lord, Jesus Christ.
Besides her husband, she is survived by two sons, Walter B. Thornhill, Jr. and his wife Teresa of California and Richard E. Thornhill, Sr. and his wife Barbara of Rhode Island and a daughter Sherell Burns and her husband Ralph of Bellingham.
She is also survived by her brother Chester Peak, Jr. of Indiana, eight grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.
She was the sister of the late George “Bud” Peak.
Her burial will take place privately at Union Street Cemetery in Franklin.
