Donald E. Oswald, Jr. of North Andover formerly of Revere passed away peacefully surrounded by those he loved, May 28, 2019. He was 50 years of age. "Donny" as he was affectionately known to his family and friends, was the beloved husband of Kim M. (Fitzgerald) Oswald. Born in Malden and raised in Revere, Donny was the son of the late Geraldine M. (Travalini) and Donald E. Oswald, Sr.
Donny was a 1986 graduate of Revere High School. He then attended Northeastern University where he earned and received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering. Following his graduation from Northeastern he secured a job with Textron industries where he worked for many years and built many wonderful relationships with his coworkers.
When not working, Donny enjoyed being outdoors working in his yard and spending time at the beach. He also loved watching motion pictures and was quite the movie buff, he was an avid sports fan and he especially loved to watch his favorite team, the Dallas Cowboys. However, Donny's greatest joy was his family and nothing made him happier than to spend time with them at home or in York, Maine, and together taking trips to his favorite destination, Disney World.
Donny will fondly be remembered for his love of life, his great sense of humor and the ability to make people around him feel comfortable and welcomed. He will be greatly missed.
In addition to his beloved wife, Kim, Donny is survived by his devoted and loving children; Nick, Kaleigh and Payton Oswald, all of North Andover. He was the cherished brother of Ellen Beatrice and her husband Pino of Revere, Donna Beatrice and her late husband Angelo of Swampscott. Son-in-law of Peggy and Paul Fitzgerald of Reading. Donny is further survived by many aunts, uncles, extended family members and dear friends.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Michael Church, 196 Main St., North Andover, Friday, June 14th, at 10:30 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. It has been requested that in lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Donny's memory to the Up Til Don Foundation, c/o Kaleigh Oswald, 233 Massachusetts Ave., North Andover, MA 01845.
