Vera Lopes Rodrigues (84) of Brockton died May 31st in the Boston Medical Center.
She was born in Santa Catarina, Fogo, Cabo Verde daughter of the late Francisco Rodrigues and Deolinda Lopes. Vera was a communicant of St. Edith Stein Church and enjoyed cooking, dancing and cleaning. She was also known to joke around with family and friends.
Survivors include 3 daughters, Catarina, Dirce and Matilde Fontes all of Brockton, 2 sons, Mario and Jose Fontes also of Brockton, (also mother of the late Maria Fontes), many grand and 12 great grandchildren.
Services from the Home of Funerarias Multi Culturel 238 Court Street Brockton Wednesday June 5th at 10:30 am. Followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Edith Stein Church 71 E Main Street Brockton at 11:30 am. Burial to follow in Melrose Cemetery. Visitation Tuesday June 4th from 6-9 pm.
