BRANDI LYNN SMITH, age 40, of Santa Paula, California, passed away on May 23, 2019, at Ventura County Medical Center. BRANDI was born in Anaheim, California to Carole and Harold Smith on July 12, 1978. She went to Buena High School and Rio Mesa High School. She loved animals especially cats. Both dogs and cats loved her back. She liked taking walks, car club events, reading, playing video games, going to Knott’s Berry Farm, to the beach, holding and cuddling her cats, as well as giving and getting hugs from family and friends. Her favorite charity was Santa Paula Animal Rescue Center where she was looking forward to volunteering.
BRANDI is survived by her son Ryan of Ventura; her three brothers: Sean Jordan, James Embree, and Wayne Smith; her mother Carole, her nieces: Danielle, Tatyonna, Gabby, and Kiley; her nephews: Aydan, Kellen, and Wyatt, and longtime companion Jimmy Data. She is preceded in death by her father Harold Smith. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Santa Paula Animal Rescue Center, 705 East Santa Barbara Street, Santa Paula, CA 93060 (www.santapaulaarc.org).
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the congregation of Northpoint Baptist Church for their loving support and prayers as they stood alongside them in their grief. They also extend their gratitude to Brandi’s many, many friends who visited her in the hospital. Hers was a short, but precious life and she will be greatly missed.
A Memorial Service with be held at the Poinsettia Pavilion (Santa Paula Room) on June 22, 2019 at 4:00 PM with Pastor Crosby Nicholson officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of JOSEPH P. REARDON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICE, 757 E. Main Street, Ventura.
