FALL RIVER… Lillian (Hart) Ochwat, 85, of Fall River passed away May 31, 2019 at St. Anne’s Hospital.
She was the widow of Eugene Ochwat to whom she was married for 55 years.
Born in Tiverton, she was a daughter of the late William and Elvira (Martin) Hart and had lived in Fall River for most of her life.
Lillian had worked as a Seamstress for the former Lexcraft for many years prior to her retirement in 1999. Following her retirement, she has kept busy as a Cafeteria Worker for the Fall River School Department. She was an avid Boston Red Sox fan and had enjoyed playing Bingo, shopping, traveling, reading and spending time with her family.
Survivors include her daughters: Cheryl Ochwat-Labrie and Lisa Ochwat, both of Fall River; her grandchildren: Jeremy Labrie of Fall River and Jennifer Labrie (fiance Chris Rose) of Berkley; her great grandchildren: Cameron, Kyle and Savanna; and her nieces: Diana, Carol and Nancy. She was the sister of the late Manuel Pitta.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Wednesday, June 5, 2019 at 10 AM at Boyko Memorial Funeral Home, 709 Broadway Fall River, MA 02724 followed by burial at Pocasset Hill Cemetery, Main Rd. Tiverton, RI. Calling hours will be held Tuesday from 5 - 8 PM. I lieu of flowers, donations in Lillian’s name cane be made to Forever Paws Animal Shelter, 300 Lynwood St. Fall River, MA 02721.
