Mr. William "Robby" Joseph Robertson, Jr. , a resident of Andover, beloved husband of Catharine A. (Greene) Robertson, passed away after a battle with leukemia with his wife and family by his side at the Brigham & Women’s Hospital in Boston on Wednesday morning, May 29, 2019. He was 56 years old.
Born in Methuen, Massachusetts, on July 22, 1962, he was the beloved son of Marie G. (Balsamo) and the late William J. Robertson.
Robby was a graduate of Simmons University in Boston, where he proudly earned both a Bachelor and Masters degrees. He started his career at Winchester Hospital, where he ultimately held the position of Senior Vice President and Chief Facilities Officer for Lahey Health System. His work family was a huge part of Robby’s life.
In his spare time, Robby loved spending time up at Lake Ossipee with his family, as well as playing in golf matches and the occasional overnight casino trip. He was a strong and generous person, quick to help and support others. Above all, he was a devoted husband and father, and often spoke of his “girls” to others. He touched the lives of so many and will be dearly missed.
Besides his wife, Catharine, he will be dearly missed by their loving children; Madeline G. Robertson, Ella R. Robertson, Lexi M. Robertson and Deliliah A. Robertson, all of Andover. Robby also leaves his children Eilishia and her husband Jon Vaccaro of Texas, Michael Robertson and Christina Robertson both of Methuen, brother; Stephen and his wife Faye Robertson of Salisbury. He also leaves three grandchildren, extended family and many friends he considered family.
His Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Augustine Church, 43 Essex Street, Andover on Wednesday, June 5, 2019, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are most welcome to attend. Calling hours will be held in the Burke-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 390 North Main Street, Andover on Tuesday, June 4, 2019, from 4 to 8 PM.
