DOWNING, Donna M. (Barnes) Of Dedham, May 28, 2019 after a brief illness surrounded by family and close friends. Beloved wife of George Downing for 29 years. Loving mother of Tara M. Dixon of Dedham. Step-mother of Jennifer M. Arienti and her husband Kenneth of Hyde Park, Joseph M. Downing and his wife Crystal of West Roxbury, and Kathryn A. Dunberg and her husband Scott of Sharon. Nani to Olivia, Evan, Lillian, Brooke, and Anna. Sister of Terry Barnes, Paula Camic, and Ellen Barnes all of FL.
Donna was an honor graduate of Boston College, class of 1994. She was a retired employee of Verizon and a child care professional at Wendy’s Day Care of Dedham. She was a member of the Norwood Country Club, an avid golfer and sports fan, enjoyed being with children, and was beloved by all.
Funeral from the George F. Doherty & Sons Wilson-Cannon Funeral Home, 456 High St., DEDHAM, Monday, June 3 at 9:30am followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Timothy Church, Norwood at 10:30am. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Visiting hours at the funeral home, Sunday, June 2 from 2-6pm. Interment in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, West Roxbury.
