LOWELL—Katherine (Stanzione) Erickson, 76 years old, died Saturday afternoon, January 7th, at the Wentworth Skilled Care Center, Lowell, following a brief battle with cancer. She was the wife of the late Francis Erickson, who died in December of 2003.
She was born in Yonkers, NY, on August 9, 1929, a daughter of the late Michael and Victoria (Scheri) Stanzione, and was a graduate of the Yonkers Public School System.
Mrs. Erickson had attended D’Youville Adult Day Care.
Surviving her are two daughters: Theresa McCarthy and her friend, Steven Tremblay, of St Albans, VT; Victoria, and her husband George Mercado, of Lowell; a son: Michael and his wife Allyson Erickson, of Ashland; ten grandchildren, four great grandchildren and many dear friends.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 PM on Tuesday, January 10th, at the MAHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 187 Nesmith Street, (Rte. 38). Her Funeral Mass to be offered Wednesday, January 11th, at 11 AM at the IMMACULATE CONCEPTION CHURCH, Lowell. Private committal.
