Ronald J. Longo, Sr. of Medford died on Tuesday, May 28, at Winchester Hospital. Born and raised in Medford, he was the son of the late Frank M. and Albina (Ciampa) Longo. Ronald was employed as an Electronics Technician. He loved to restore classic cars, particularly Thunderbirds, and boating from the Danversport Yacht Club.
Ronald was the devoted father of Sandra Keeley and her husband Tim of North Billerica, and Ronald J. Longo Jr. and his wife Dawn of Derry, New Hampshire. He was the loving grandfather of Alexandra Lowder and her husband Dan Ronan of Tewksbury, Michelle Lowder and her fiancé Patrick Ferrera of Billerica, Jessica Rose and her husband Steve of Billerica, Stephanie Longo and her husband Joseph Benway of California, and Emily Longo of Derry, New Hampshire. Ronald was the loving great-grandfather of Callie Rose, and the dear brother of Joan Kitchen of Medford and her late husband Bill, and the late Frank M. Longo and his surviving wife Eileen of Hudson. Ronald was the cherished uncle of Deborah A. Crowley of Medford, Stephen Longo and his wife Mary Lou of Westford, Sharon McDevitt and her husband Richard of Marlboro, Scott Longo of Marlboro, MA and Christopher Longo and his wife Christina of Sterling. He is also survived by many loving great-nieces and great-nephews.
Funeral services for Ronald will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent in Ronald's name to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
