Wesley Franklin “Frank” Sinclair, 82, of Tifton passed away Saturday, May 25, 2019, at his residence. His funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 28, 2019, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Landon Alberson officiating. Mr. Sinclair will be laid to rest at Oak Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday, May 27, 2019, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Bobby Brannen, Edwin Revels Jr., Derrell Souter, Jack Souter, Neil Sinclair and Scott Gaddy will serve as pallbearers.
Born October 17, 1936 in Sumner, Mr. Sinclair was the son of the late Edgar Sinclair and Margaret Sessions Sinclair. He was also preceded in death by two sons, Dale Allen and Benny Lee Allen. Before retiring, he worked for the Georgia Department of Transportation. In the past, he sang with the Harmony Boys Gospel Quartet and he was a Mason and a Shriner. He was a veteran of the United States Army and was an Auxilliary Deputy with the Tift County Sheriff’s Department. He was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church in Kelltown.
Mr. Sinclair is survived by his wife of 62 years, Greta Revels Sinclair of Tifton; two sons and daughters-in-law, Wayne and Carol Moore of Casselberry, Florida and Mike and Wanda Moore of Tifton; two daughters-in-law, Martha Allen of Cordele and Julie Allen of Tifton; one brother and sister-in-law, Neil and Dillis Sinclair of Sumner; one sister and brother-in-law, Linda Nell and Jack Souter of Sumner; six grandchildren, Franklin Allen, Michael Moore, Tammy Walker, Michael Mullis, Timothy Allen, Michelle Centerfitt; and five great-grandchildren, Christopher Mullis, Halle Walker, Elizabeth Centerfitt, Ashley Centerfitt and Melissa Mullis.
The family would love to express their sincere appreciation to Hospice of Tift Area, with a special thanks to Michelle Williford and Jenn Marshall, for their wonderful care of Mr. Sinclair.
