Nikolaos Dermatis, 87, of Worcester, died Monday, May 20th in Holden Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. His wife, Amersa (Asimakis) Dermatis died in 2012. He is survived by his son, Demetrios Dermatis and his wife, Yvette o Worcester; two daughters, Anastasia Patiniotis and her husband, Peter of Rhodes, Greece and Angela Arsenis and her husband, Elias of North Kingstown, RI; two brothers, Minas Dermatis and his wife, Anna and Angelo Dermatis and his wife, Spyradoula all of Athens, Greece; and his sister, Maria Rougas and her husband, George of Athens, Greece; seven grandchildren, Andreana Kelvey, Amersaline Dermatis, Savvina, Ileanna and Alexandros Arsenis, Mercine and Panagiotis Patiniotis.
He was born in Athens, Greece the son of Dimitri and Anastasia (Flevaris) Dermatis. Mr. Dermatis had owned and operated Andrea's Pizza on Stafford Street with his family for many years. He was a member of St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral, its Senior's Group, the Order of A.H.E.P.A. and was a tireless volunteer at the bi-annual St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral Greek Festival.
