Walter M. Dallaire, Sr., 91, of Westport, passed away on Monday, May 20, 2019 at home. He was the husband of Albertina (Ferreira) Dallaire.
Mr. Dallaire was born in New Bedford, son of the late Eugene T. and Nellie J. (Rogers) Dallaire and had been a longtime resident of Westport. A veteran of WWII, he served his country in the U.S. Navy.
Survivors along with his wife include his son: Walter M. Dallaire, Jr. of E. Bridgewater; 2 daughters: Charlene J. Varao of New Bedford and Doreen Lewis and her husband Dennis of New Bedford; brother: Eugene Dallaire of Walnut, CA; 2 grandsons: Damon Alfonso and Dana Alfonso and his wife Helena; 4 great grandchildren: Kayleigh, Brianna, Evan and Ariana; along with many nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late Ruth Robinson and Nellie Bettencourt.
Graveside service to which relatives and friends are invited will be Saturday, June 8, 2019 at Beech Grove Cemetery, Westport at 11:00 A.M.
