FALL RIVER…Jose P. Botelho, 73, of Fall River passed away at Fall River Healthcare.
He was the husband of Delia (Fernandes) Botelho.
Born in St. Michael, Azores, he was a son of the late Augustine and Maria (Lima) Botelho. He had lived in Fall River since 1975.
Mr. Botelho had worked as a farmer and was a communicant of St. John of God Parish. He enjoyed being outdoors, playing Bingo and the harmonica and attending spiritual services.
Along with his wife, survivors include his children: Joseph F. Botelho (wife Tara) of Fall River, Americo F. Botelho of Coventry, RI and Christina M. Rita (husband Eddie) of Dighton; his sisters: Helen Medeiros of Fall River, Maria Botelho of Canada, Teresa Botelho and Constance Botelho, both of the Azores; his brothers: Antonio Botelho of Swansea and Augustine Botelho of the Azores; his grandchildren: Bailey, Tony, Kayla, Alexandra, Brandon and Maison; several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late John Botelho.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Tuesday, May 28, 2019 at 10 AM from the South Coast Funeral Home, 1555 Pleasant St. Fall River, MA 02723 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM at St. John of God Parish, 996 Brayton Ave. Somerset, MA 02726. Interment will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River. Calling hours will be held Tuesday from 9 to 10 AM, prior to the funeral.
