Stephen J. Cheli, 69, of Franklin, died May 19 in Milford Regional Medical Center.
Born in Milford, August 14,1949, the son of the late Peter and Rose (Tucci) Cheli, Stephen was a lifelong resident of Franklin.
Stephen was a graduate of Franklin High School and had been a master plumber for many years.
Steve enjoyed online poker, playing pool , bowling, golfing, fishing and spending time with his grandchildren. He also loved gardening and when he was well he always kept up multiple gardens at his home.
He had served in the Navy during the Vietnam War attaining the rank of Radioman 2nd Class.
Steve is survived by his daughter Christine R. Cheli of Franklin and his sister Nancy Flowers of San Diego, California.
Steve is also survived by his grandchildren, Giana, Arabella and Charlie.
He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and cousins.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, May 29 in St. Mary’s Cemetery Franklin at 1:00 p.m.
