Obituary

Daniel L. Trombley, 27, of Dallas, passed away unexpectedly on May 15, 2019, at his home in Dallas, Texas. He was the cherished and youngest son of Linda A. (Hilton) Trombley of Durham, NH, and William J. Trombley of Charleroi, PA, and was the greatly beloved brother of Joel N. and Dale W. Trombley.
Born in Bennington, VT, his early years of schooling were in Averill Park, NY. He was a National Merit Scholar at La Salle Institute in Troy, NY, in 2010. Daniel received his BS in Economics (Suma Cum Laude) and BBA in Finance (Suma Cum Laude) from Southern Methodist University Cox School of Business in Dallas, Texas. He also finished the Freshman Session of SW Graduate School of Banking. While attending Southern Methodist University, Daniel competed in and won first prize in the Mr. SMU body building competition in 2014. Following his graduation, he served as a consultant with Quorum Software where he worked with multiple energy companies to address their needs using cross-functional software products. Prior to his illness, Daniel was an analyst in the Statistics Department of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas where he managed the collection and analysis of regulatory reports of financial institutions within the Eleventh Federal Reserve District. Daniel planned to attend Law School.He especially loved to read, liked to be informed by listening to podcast and to debate.
Daniel was a caring and giving young man who tutored and mentored many. At the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas, he was very actively involved in The Year-Up program as well as a coordinator with Adopt-a-Family and March of Dimes. While attending Southern Methodist University, he worked as a Head Lifeguard and was a swim instructor and Library Reference Assistant. While attending high school, he was a Lasallian Youth Volunteer as well as a Teen Ambassador for the Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Capital Region, Inc.
As a younger boy, Daniel was involved at his church and in his youth group at Loudonville Community Church in NY. He was a youth volunteer for the Bears Fruit Food Pantry. He enjoyed board and video games with his brothers and friends. He liked to rock climb, played the trombone in the school band, participated in stage-set production, was active in youth soccer, the ski club, and was an avid Lego fan. Daniel always looked forward to Labor Day camping in Speculator, NY, and was involved there at Deerfoot Lodge and Camp-of-the-Woods. Daniel loved to spend time at the ocean, tubing in a backyard creek and swimming.
In addition to his parents, his is survived by his brothers, Joel N. Trombley and his wife Charity of Manchester-by-the-Sea, MA, Dale W. Trombley and his wife Marie of New Port Richie, FL, his grandmother, Eva Gilman of Waterford, NY, his nephew Ethan and niece Grace of MA, his nephews Aaron and Lucas of FL, and his girlfriend and devoted companion of many years, Marlene McGehee of Dallas.
Relatives and friends are invited to his calling hours on Friday, May 24, 2019 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM, with Prayers for the Departed at 7:00 PM in the Levesque Funeral Home, 163 Lafayette Street, Salem, MA. His funeral will be on Saturday, May 25th at 10:00 AM in St. Nicholas Orthodox Church, 64 Forrester St., Salem. Burial will follow at the Locust Grove Cemetery in Gloucester, MA.
