FALL RIVER - Margaret (Paiva) Arruda, 81, residence 761 highland Ave. formerly of 469 North Underwood Street, Fall River, died Saturday in Fall River at the Highland Manor Nursing Home. She was the wife of George Arruda. Besides her Husband of Fall River, she is survived by: 2 Sons: Gary S. Arruda and Alan G. Arruda both of Fall River, 1 Daughter: Susan M. Dube of Dartmouth, MA, 1 Brother: Frank Paiva of Fall River, 2 Sisters: Gertrude Troia of Fall River and Eileen Amarello of Somerset, 5 Grandchildren, 1 Great-grandchild, and Several Nieces and Nephews. She was the sister of the late Mary Rego and Hortense “Tess” Roberts
Born in Fall River, Daughter of the late Manuel Paiva and the late Gertrude (Rebello) Paiva. She was a resident of Fall River for 58 years and was a graduate of B.M.C. Durfee High School. Before retiring, she was employed as a Lunch Server for the Fall River School Lunch Program at the Tansey School. She was a member of St. Joseph Church.
Her Funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home 1521 North Main Street, Fall River, MA on Tuesday at 9:00 A.M. followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Joseph Church, No. Main St., Fall River, MA at 10:00 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick Cemetery, Fall River, MA. CALLING HOURS MONDAY FROM 5:00 TO 8:00 P.M.
