Marie G. (Valenti) Penney, of Medford, passed away on Sunday, May 19th. She was 85. Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Domenic and Olga (Tocco) Valenti.
Marie was an amazing cook and would cook for her family no matter the occasion. Her dishes were made from scratch and were known to be delicious. When Marie was not cooking she loved to spend time with her family, planning a trip to Foxwoods, playing cards with her girlfriends and soaking up the rays from the sun. She was a dedicated wife, a loving mother and a caring nana. She will be greatly missed by all.
Marie was the beloved wife of the late Robert E. Penney and James G. Lee. She was the devoted mother of John Lee and his wife Arline "I", James Lee, Elisa Wojciechowski and her husband Chris, and Kristine Penney. She was the loving nana of Rosemarie, James, Anthony and Jazlynn. She was the dear sister of Domenic Valenti. She is also survived by many loving family members and friends.
Her funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, on Saturday, May 25th at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Francis Of Assisi Church, 441 Fellsway West, Medford, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Friday 4-8 PM. Interment will be private.
