Jane S. (Stone) Erikson, 78, of Middleboro formerly of Whitman, passed away surrounded by family on May 18 at St Joseph’s Manor after a brief illness. Born in So. Weymouth she was the daughter of the late Sidney A and Winnifred A( Richards) Stone and the sister of the late Genevieve Victor, the late Sidney A Stone Jr, the late John R Stone and the late Lewis F Stone.
She was married to the late Walter Erikson of Whitman and the long-term partner of the late Alfred Pike of Braintree. She is survived by her son Jeffrey Currie and his wife Debra of Middleboro, her daughter Kimberley Farrell and her husband Daniel of Whitman, and step daughters Karen Erikson of No. Brookfield and Todd Cody of Malden. She also leaves behind her grandchildren Ryan, Hannah, Cameron, Nicholas and Sean Farrell, John Williams, Jessica Ingles, Jason Currie, Kimberly Marvin, Leigh Lopes, Lindsey Almeida, Kirsten Decker and several great-grandchildren.
She graduated from Abington High School in 1959 and kept in close contact with many of her classmates and enjoyed numerous class reunions.
She worked for many years at GTE Shareholder Services, No. Quincy. After her retirement, she volunteered at the Brockton Hospital and the Middleboro Town Library.
She was an active member of the First Baptist Church of No Middleboro and previously of the South Congregational Church of Braintree, where she sang in the choir. She loved traveling, gardening and meeting new friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her visitation on Wednesday May 22nd from 4:00-6:30PM, followed by her funeral service at 6:30PM, all in the First Baptist Church, of North Middleborough, 111 Plymouth St, Middleborough, MA 02346. All services are at the church
