Catherine Ottaviano of Stoneham died on Tuesday, May 14. Raised and educated in Somerville, she was the daughter of the late Patsy and Carmella (Scioli) Papandrea. Catherine lived in Medford for several years, then moved to Stoneham where she has resided for the past 44 years. All who knew her will remember her love of cooking for family and friends.
Catherine was the beloved wife of Dominic Ottaviano, and the devoted mother of Daniel Ottaviano and his wife Karrie of Tewksbury, and Dina Aresco and her husband Salvatore of Stoneham. She was the loving grandmother of Dominic and Ella Ottaviano, and Alexandra and Sophia Aresco, and the dear sister of Joseph and Linda Maietta of Stoneham, John and Maria Maietta of Melrose, and Maryann Papandrea of Revere. Catherine was the sister-in-law of Ralph and Evelina Ottaviano of Templeton, and Karen and Domenic Ottaiano of Florida. She was the dear friend of Louis and Jane Mandarini of Danvers and is also survived by loving nieces, nephews and many friends.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford on Monday, May 20 at 8 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Patrick Church, 71 Central Street, Stoneham, at 9 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Sunday, May 19 from 3 through 8 PM. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
