Christopher A. Batt, 53, of Madison, WI, unexpectedly passed away on Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at Newport Hospital. He was the husband of Lena M. (Borst) Batt. He was born in Footscray, Victoria, Australia, son of Maureen (Hannasky) Batt of Australia and the late Gerald Batt.
Chris (Battman) was a devoted husband and father and a selfless friend to all he met. His passions were great and his project list was never ending whether it was making espresso, grilling anything, watching his favorite teams, building chicken coops and backyard ice rinks, growing enough vegetables for the entire neighborhood, or running after his dogs as they chased birds (or anything else that moved). His greatest joy was spending time with his boys especially playing any sport in the backyard or building large structures out of Legos and blocks.
Survivors along with his wife and mother include his 2 sons: Eamonn Batt and Ciaran Batt; brother: Martin Batt and his wife Laura; sister: Elise Turnedge and her husband Paul; 2 nieces: Madeline and Chloe; and a nephew: Julian.
Mass of Christian Burial to which relatives and friends are invited will be Friday, May 17, 2019 at St. John the Baptist Church, Westport at 11:00 A.M.
Interment will be private.
