A pillar of the Briarcliff Manor community, Robert “Bob” W. Blevins, passed away Friday evening, May
10, 2019, surrounded by family. Bob was born March 19, 1949, to parents Noah and Dorothy Blevins,
and sister, Sallie Anne. He was known around town as a star athlete, setting many school records in both
baseball and basketball. Bob was a Life Member and Ex-Captain of the Briarcliff Manor Fire Department
with more than 40 years of dedicated service. Bob was a dedicated husband and father, sports
enthusiast, and a bear through and through. Most importantly, he was a family man who took immense
pride in his children.
Bob is survived by his wife of 38 years, Jeanne and his children, Bobby (Jennifer), Jason (Stephanie), and
Tara. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 18th at Waterbury & Kelly Funeral Home, 1300
Pleasantville Road. Calling hours will be from 4-6 pm with a service at 6 pm. The repast will be held at
the Scarborough Fire House immediately following the service.
