Douglas J. Hatem, 67, of Derry, NH, formerly of Lawrence, MA, passed away suddenly on Tuesday May 7, 2019 at Parkland Medical Center of Derry. Doug was born July 25, 1951 in Methuen, MA and was a son of the late John and Mary (Bove) Hatem. He was raised and educated in Lawrence. He received a bachelor’s degree from Salem State College and was a longtime resident of Derry.
Doug was the owner of MBA Business Services of Londonderry, NH, which he owned and operated for over 35 years. He had a lifelong love of music, played the drums in the high school band and was a singer. Doug enjoyed helping out his friends at McQuesten Farms in Litchfield and was on the Board of Directors at Londonderry Square.
Members of the family include his wife of 40 years, Cynthia (Tanguay) Hatem of Derry, a brother, Mark Hatem, his aunt and uncle (as well as god parents), Wallace and Theresa Hatem, aunts, Bernice Spencer and Celia Hatem, uncle, David Mottoli and a niece, Cara Hatem.
After cremation, a memorial visitation was held Saturday May 11, 2019 from 12 to 2 pm at the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Road, Londonderry.
