Obituary

Angelina C. (Puntieri) Casadonte, 87, of Franklin, died unexpectedly on Saturday, May 4, 2019 at her home. She was the beloved wife of Joseph Casadonte, Jr., a proud WWII Army Ranger veteran, who died in 1983.

Born in Olivadi, Italy on September 3, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Rose (Gulla) Puntieri.

Angelina was a lifelong resident of Dedham where she raised her four children. She proudly graduated from Dedham High School in early 1950’s after taking many night courses.

Before retiring, she worked at Rustcraft Greeting Card Company in Dedham and previously at a tool and die company in Dedham.

She is survived by her son Russell Casadonte of Florida, two daughters Mary Louise Carr of Norfolk and Linda Casadonte Wedge of Franklin, ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

She is also survived by three brothers, Vito and Alfredo Puntieri, both of Italy and Nick Puntieri of Norwood, a sister Rita Accera of Millis and many nieces and nephews.

She was the mother of the late Anthony Vito Casadonte and sister of the late Eva LaSalvia and Anthony Puntieri.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a calling hour on Tuesday, May 14 from 11 a.m. – noon followed by
a funeral service at noon in the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin, 131 Main Street (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com). Burial will follow at Brookdale Cemetery in Dedham.
