Jean L. Intoppa passed away at home on Sunday, May 5th. She was 72. A life-long Medford resident, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Edna (Adams) McKenzie. A wonderful partner, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Jean enjoyed a long career at Tufts University as an administrative assistant. There she worked in several departments including Physics. She also helped administer finances and grants. A member of Medford High School class of 1964, Jean loved spending time with her grandchildren. She and her boyfriend of over 36 years, Mike enjoyed travelling and made occasional trips to Foxwoods. She was also a huge Red Sox fan.
The beloved girlfriend of Michael Storck, she was a devoted mother to Joyce Reilly and her husband Dennis of Wakefield, Louis Intoppa and his wife Jennifer of Medford, David Intoppa and his wife Julie of Wakefield. She was a loving grandmother to Julianne, John, Brian, Lacey, Colin, Ava, Leo, Callie Jean, Benjamin and Joseph. Jean was a dear sister to Joyce Keddie of Woburn and the late Miriam McKenzie. She also leaves many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be conducted in the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Thursday, May 9th at 11 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Wednesday 4 - 8 PM. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
