HIRAM- Joyce E. Ridlon, age 84, passed away on May 4, 2019 in Bridgton.
She was born in Hiram on Oct. 26, 1934, a daughter of the late Zenia and Georgia (Hamilton) Pierce.
She is a graduate of Fryebury Academy and later went to college for accounting.
Over the years, Joyce worked at the Bridgton Shoe Shop and did income taxes for many people.
Joyce was a longtime member of the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery Association.
Joyce was a skilled seamstress who made several wedding dresses, officiated over wedding
ceremonies, was a skilled musician, enjoyed bowling and made clothing for children. She was also very skilled with crafts. Joyce enjoyed her life on Hiram Hill with her husband and those dear to her.
She is predeceased by her husband Maynard Ridlon in 2010; a son- Rex Richardson; a daughter- Tina Parker; and her siblings- Beverly Garland, Madeline Berry and Chester Pierce.
Joyce is survived by a daughter- Terri Arsenault of Oxford; a niece- Francina Pierce of Hiram; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren; and many other nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was loved by all her family, friends, and the staff at Bella Point.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday May 11 at 2 PM at the Poitras, Neal &York Funeral Home, 71 Maple St., Cornish. Burial will follow at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Hiram. Online condolence
