WORCESTER – Edward W. Martin, 81, of 425 Pleasant Street died Thursday, January 5 in the Hospice Residence at Coes Pond after an illness.
He leaves two brothers Raymond R. Martin of Worcester and Paul Martin of Agawam; 2 sisters Dorothy Anderson of Harwich and Lorraine Gartatzoghian of West Yarmouth and several nieces and nephews. He was born in Worcester on February 12, 1925 son of Edward and Florence (Dupont) Martin and attended Worcester schools.
Mr. Martin was a veteran of the United States Navy serving in World War II on the USS New Jersey. He worked as a machinist at Telecron for 33 years retiring in 1988.
A Funeral service will be held on Monday, January 9 at 11 AM in the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home 12 Hammond Street. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours are Monday, January 9 from 10 to 11 AM in the funeral home.
