Kim Marie (Poirier) Aten, 47, of Franklin passed away May 1, 2019 in the University of Massachusetts Medical Center in Worcester following a short illness.
Born in Norwood, October 11, 1971, the daughter of Ruth (Manning) Poirier of Franklin and the late Joseph Poirier, Kim was raised in East Walpole and had lived in Franklin for the past 16 years.
She was a graduate of Walpole High School.
She had worked in the marketing division of the MITEK Corporation for many years.
Kim’s life was her family.
In addition to her mother she is survived by her daughters, Taylor, 16, and Ashley, 12, Aten of Franklin.
She is also survived by her siblings, Cheryl Trail of Milford, Steven Poirier of Norwood, Paul Poirier of Manchester, New Hampshire, and her nieces Noelle and Kyla Trail of Milford.
Kim had been a significant other to Joseph Kulbok of Plymouth for the past three years.
Her funeral will be held on Wednesday, May 8 from the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) 131 Main Street, Franklin at 9:15 followed by a funeral mass in St. Mary’s Church at 10:00.
Burial will be in Knollwood Memorial Park in Canton.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 4-8 p.m.
